Tony Cowderoy — Director

Tony Cowderoy 

Tony, who leads MML, worked in the aerospace, automotive and capital equipment industries before moving into consulting. He has 20 years' experience as a trainer and consultant, during which he has helped many manufacturing and supply-chain businesses to enhance their customer service and profitability through improved operational performance. His skills include:

  • designing and delivering tailored training programmes in ERP, MRPII, Inventory Management, Lean, Business Process Improvement and Product Lifecycle Management;
  • implementing — and re-implementing — ERP systems to deliver measurable improvements in business performance;
  • integrating Lean and ERP to deliver leading-edge operational performance.
  • applying Lean and ERP to configure-to-order and design-to-order businesses.

Malcolm Hunt

Malcolm Hunt 

Malcolm spent 20 years in pharmaceutical and FMCG manufacturing before becoming a trainer and consultant. His consulting experience spans the private and public sectors and includes the management of major projects and organisational transformation as well as operational performance improvement. He has particular expertise in:

  • business process design, development and implementation;
  • manufacturing systems implementation and performance improvement;
  • project management.

He has worked with a wide range of ERP packages as a manager and a consultant and leads MML's work on business process design.

Dr William Magill

Dr William Magill 

Willy led the implementation of engineering data systems for the aircraft manufacturer, Short Brothers. Since becoming a consultant he has advised many major engineering and manufacturing businesses in Europe and the USA. His areas of expertise include:

  • product data management and product lifecycle management;
  • business processes for managing new product design and development;
  • intelligent design systems and computer-aided process planning;
  • integrating PLM and ERP.

He has worked with a range of PLM software packages and has led the development of custom-designed PLM applications. He leads MML's work on PLM and new product introduction.

Derek Small

Malcolm Hunt 

Derek was one of the original founders of MML in the early 1980s. He went on to be part of the Covey Leadership Centre in the UK and is now an independent business coach associated with MML. Derek specialises in culture change and leadership development related to:

  • Six Sigma and Lean programmes;
  • ERP implementation and BPR;
  • business performance improvement.

Derek has worked with numerous major companies, worldwide, and was inducted into the AIESEC Hall of Fame in 2006.

Ketan Varia

Ketan Varia 

Ketan has 15 years of Business Management & Consulting experience, focused in leading improvement teams within an industrial/operational context. He has led change assignments for a variety of FT Global 500 companies. His extensive experience includes improvement projects in Italy and Germany. Ketan has a BSc(Hons) in Electrical Engineering, a MSc in Manufacturing Systems and is a Chartered Engineer. His recent work includes:

  • performance management via the Balanced Scorecard;
  • Distribution Resource Planning;
  • intensive Continuous Improvement Programmes.

Richard Baker

Richard Baker 

Richard is a marketing specialist with a degree in Production Engineering. His areas of expertise include:

  • marketing industrial products;
  • marketing professional services;
  • managing major accounts.

Richard has led the development of an industrial marketing consultancy and was major-clients marketing manager for one of the world’s largest legal practices.

Andrew Luce

Andrew Luce 

Andrew is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and he has been a Finance Director in industry. His areas of expertise include:

  • change management;
  • activity based cost management;
  • developing telecoms businesses;
  • inbound call management, call centres, wide-area networks and voice/data integration.

 

Stuart Naish

Stuart Naish 

Stuart is a Production Engineer specialising in distribution and logistics. His particular expertise lies in:

  • advising on the strategy, concept and design of distribution centres/warehouses;
  • developing the Operational and Materials Handling Specifications for tender;
  • managing implementation projects.

Stuart is a visiting Fellow at Cranfield University, lecturing on Project Management, Designing Distribution Centres and Materials Handling Equipment.
